Situ Island is situated 35kms north of Pemba (formerly known as Porto Amelia) in northern Mozambique (in the Province of Cabo del Gado) in the Quirimbas National Park. The easiest way to get to Situ Island is to fly to Pemba and then use the Situ Island Resort charter boat to transfer to the island.
Guests fly to Pemba international airport and are transferred to our boat. Thereafter you are whisked away to enjoy our little piece of paradise in the sun. Airlines that fly to Pemba include LAM, South African airways, Quatar and Kenya airlines.
South African passport holders do not need a visa when entering Mozambique, if the stay is less than 30 days.
Other passport holders do need visas, which can be bought at the airports.
The boat transfer is about 1.5 hours and is generally calm. We like to transfer in the morning, but will transfer in the afternoon if flights arrive later. We generally do not transfer after 3pm. The boat can transfer up to eight guests at a time and the cost of the transfer is divided between the guests transferring on the day.
